From Resurrection to Power

Easter is a spectacular display of God’s grace but did you know that Easter is intended to lead you to something even more spectacular. YES!! Don’t just take my words for it- Jesus says there’s something more and it's worth waiting for.

“I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49

The day Jesus told them to wait for is called Pentecost. The Greek word literally means “fiftieth,” and is a monumentally important day to God and His efforts to restore a relationship with you.  His deepest desire is to meet with you daily in relationship—to walk with you, guide you, protect you, and empower you to experience a fresh breath of His power every day.  He wants you to tap into His presence, His power for whatever life brings you.

Think of Easter differently. It’s not the end but rather the beginning.

This exercise is very simple.   It’s 50 days of a 5 minute focus on the presence of God leading up to the day of Pentecost. It’s just listening and giving your Heavenly Father  a few minutes each day in order to experience his presence. However, you will be challenged to consistently give God 5 minutes.  It’s like New Year’s resolutions, they are great until the new habit loses out to old habits just because it seems too hard to change.  That’s why this exercise is designed to be simple.   It’s a choice to experience the full promise Jesus speaks about.  Allow God to put a desire in you to experience more of Him.   Are you ready to experience more than Easter?

From Resurrection to Power: The 50-Day Invitation:

•  For the next 7 Weeks, play the suggested song (or your choice) daily on whatever music platform you use, and just listen for God to speak to you.  That’s it.  Just listen.

• If you are a parent, at the end of the week, share with your family what you sensed God was speaking to you.
